Stiftung Luftbrückendank was founded by the federal state of Berlin in the legal form of a foundation under
civil law. It is represented by its managing director, Janina Günther, and is a non-profit foundation;
donations are tax deductible. It is subject to scrutiny by Berlin’s court of auditors and, with regard to its
compliance with the regulations governing non-profit organizations, by the relevant tax office (Finanzamt
für Körperschaften I, Berlin).
